The Session
Your Executive Signature session begins with a consultation about your professional brand and how you want to be perceived. We'll review your outfit options and discuss the impression each creates. Throughout the 90-minute session, we'll work together on multiple setups, coaching you to achieve confident, authoritative expressions that still feel approachable.
Step by Step
We start with a 15-minute discussion about your professional brand, your audience, and how you want to be perceived. This shapes every decision in the session.
We review your 3–4 outfits together and plan the order of looks, matching each to a specific background and lighting style.
We begin with your primary look — usually the most formal. Professional coaching guides your expressions from corporate authority to approachable warmth.
Over the next hour, we move through additional outfits and backgrounds, capturing a range of looks that serve different platforms and purposes.
We review the full session together on the studio monitor. You select your 4 favorites and we note any specific retouching preferences.

What Makes an Executive Headshot Work
An executive headshot has to do two jobs at once. It has to signal competence to investors, boards, and journalists, and it has to feel approachable to the employees, clients, and audiences who see it on a bio page or conference program. A portrait that only does the first reads as cold; one that only does the second can undercut your authority.
We get there through direction, not luck. Small adjustments to chin angle, shoulder line, and the tension around the eyes change how a face reads on camera. During the session we coach those details in real time, and you see the results on the studio monitor as we go, so you are never guessing what the final image will look like.
Where Your Executive Portraits Will Be Used
Most executives need more than one image. A typical Executive Signature set covers your company leadership page, LinkedIn, press kits and announcement releases, speaker and panel bios, board and investor materials, and podcast or media appearances.
Each of those placements crops and displays an image differently. A leadership page often uses a tight, consistent crop; a press kit needs a high-resolution file with room around the subject; a speaker program may print small. That is why the package includes multiple format optimization for web, print, and social, rather than a single file you have to resize yourself.
Wardrobe and Styling for Leaders
Solid, well-fitted pieces photograph best. Navy, charcoal, and black suits or blazers read as authoritative; a softer knit or open collar gives you a second, more approachable look. Bring three or four options and we will help you choose an order that moves from formal to relaxed across the session.
Fit matters more than brand. Jackets that pull at the button or shirts with gaping collars show clearly in a high-resolution portrait. If you are unsure, bring an extra option. We also offer professional hair and makeup as an add-on, which is worth considering for anyone who will use these images in print or on large screens.
Executive Headshots in Los Angeles
Sessions take place at our Silver Lake studio, which is a short drive from Downtown LA, Hollywood, Pasadena, and the Westside. Executives on tight schedules can book an on-location session at their office instead; we bring lighting and a backdrop and can set up in a conference room in about 20 minutes.
Every session is photographed and directed personally by our founder, so the person you talk to at the brand consultation is the same person behind the camera and reviewing your final retouching.

Do you photograph executives on location?
Yes. On-location sessions at your office are available as a $250 add-on. We bring a portable lighting setup and backdrop, which works well for busy schedules or when you want your workspace in the background.
How soon can I get my images for a press release or announcement?
Executive Signature includes 48-hour priority delivery. If you have a hard deadline, add rush 24-hour delivery for $100 and let us know the date when you book.
